jkat you're from Ulm?? Great, I'm originally from around that area (heidenheim)!
might be fun yelling "Wir sind Schwaben und Ihr nicht" in the middle of the beautiful Welsh countryside ;-)
can depart at 9 on friday and I HAVE to be back for work on monday morning, but still i would drive rather than taking a piss plane with next to no luggage space, comfort or dignity.
So if you decide to do a funny road trip, driving 2500kms on one weekend plus karting AND drinking, let me know asap. I'll book my flight in 3 days.

Alright, slight change of plan. Since I live nearer to munich it would be possible to fly from there to bristol. Also it's less hassle (air france to Bristol airport and back) and slightly cheaper.

So Rob, will you have one more seat for a slightly fat, grumpy old german?
Jason you'll get the money in a few days.
And still, if there are people wanting to attend from southern Germany, Switzerland (Troy?!) or Austria we could drive from here. 3 or more in the car will be cheaper than flying.

Hej Andreas,

me and a bunch of Swedes in a short movie road trip? Hell yeah!

Nah really I'll try to sort out some flights that fit your airports better tomorrow morning.
Will you be going 120mph again like 2010?

YAAAAAAY!

Katja has fiddled with her shift plan so I can have another try at winning something!

And as always the next problem is transport from and to the airports. I could book a ryanair flight to stansted on friday around 2 or 3 o'clock. a return flight from there is impossible since the only plane leaves on sunday 6:20. AM.
So I would try and book an easyjet flight which leaves during the day from Gatwick.

Is anyone able to give me a lift from Stansted to Jason's?
Is Gatwick airport on anyone's way back home who has a seat to spare?

Or for something completely different: Is anyone from Austria or south Germany attending so we could drive up and down together? I've calculated that last year and found that if we are 3 or more it is much much cheaper than flying and stuff. If the clutch works that is.

Since my wife works in Austria now and is no longer able to plan her own shifts I'll have to wait for her shift schedule. Guys I'm getting so frustrated, not being able to meet you for 2 years in a row is no fun!
Also it seems EVERYTHING motorsport related wants to avoid me in the last years. No visit at any local rallye, no hillclimb, no karting, no 24 hours at the ring for me. Not even slotcar racing.

Life owes me once fecking nice weekend this year I think

Ah. Our family car is just one of those. And contrary to the VW/Audis of some of my friends our 207 diesel is reliable, economical and quick enough for my wife's travelling speed of around 110 miles... I am a bit slower, more like J.M.

Anyway, I really do hate italian cars, Ferrari in particular. So I've gone and bought one.
1/24th again, not driveable yet but painted and waiting for a chassis.

The design shows the total reliability of all italian cars, even the carbon fibre started to rust!

Does it really count how often you try if you finally achieve something? Ford, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi,... they all have tried hundreds of times over decades and still went up in smoke halfway through.
I assume you just don't like french cars.

Back on topic, yet another funny colour scheme on a slotcar.

nice collection there! I guess you're not too interested in earlier le mans winner cars (gt40, 917, the whole 60s and 70s cars), my favourites are group c cars and sports prototypes as well though!

The Jäger 962 is sold by Revell nowadays as a 956!!! With Stefan Bellof as driver (who never drove a 962 and was killed in a 956). Usually all Jägermeister cars were orange, but I love intelligent vandalism. So instead of painting it in one of the brightest colours a racecar can show I went for the opposite. But if you are so used to this livery and its specific colours it's quite a mindf**k looking at this grey one ;-)

Anyway, I do have very few original cars, such as this one. Proper 956 raced by the Obermaier team. 1/24th scale, polyurethane rears, stainless steel chassis and one of the fastest semiscale cars on the plastic track I occasionally visit.

Why dream? get them!

-My little '86 924s. I OWN it, I don't have to dream.

-Our Pug 207 diesel. Good for pretty much everything, plus saves money.

Cars I've owned and wish I've never given away, so I dream of having them again:

-72 VW transporter T2B (had no rust and I've sold it in 1995 for 350 Deutschmarks, which is about nil...

-'84 Mini mayfair, I had some funny fan-type 3-2-1 on it, and a HIF6 carb and 10'weller wheels which I still own and some 286° camshaft. What a great car that was until rust did us part. Did 110 mph! Without bumpers!

-86 Fiat Panda. It was leaking every fluid you can imagine, damper oil, brake fluid, petrol, the lot. But still it brought me wherever I wanted to be, 550kms to Hannover? easy peasy! its last 6 months I was driving with nothing but air in my brake system and a tyre filled to the brim with PU foam and tyre fit...

-My parents's 's s's '89 Mitsubishi L300. What a microbus that was, and it was sahara beige ;-) Imagine the facts: A mitsubishi, engine in the middle, rwd, AND with space in it! Ah, the memories! Some great, funny and less funny things happened in that car. Don't let my parents know!

Cars I dream of:

-Another 924s for rallying, maybe with the turbo engine of the 944turbo

-Some old Merc G-class. THE iron hog. Good for getting where no landrover will ever get.

-Opel Kadett City (familiar but much prettier than a vauxhall chevette), because it is one beautiful small car. the 60 hp version please.

-Mercedes W123, the taxi. Solid as the moon, comfy ride and nowadays, at a time when cars get uglier and uglier the merc is becoming quite a looker

now we're getting over ten, but seeing that I can get most of my dream cars for the money you musers could get a single one, I'll just go on.

-E-type 3rd series,
-356, preferably the 90hp one, but really a good replica kit would do.
-02 series bmw. Katja says they look like made out of lego

Don't know if frozen...

The good thing is when I need to drive my car I wipe some snow off the roof, clear the driver side door of 75cm thick powder, sit in, start the engine and go. This procedure didn't quite work with all the other cars I had...

Still alive and kickin...

...footballs with my son.

Nah really I still love lfs, but real life has got me at the balls and won't be letting go soon.

The lack of "real" updates hasn't put me off, it was the amount of time taken by all the things that happened since 2008. Now I've got 2 great jobs involving computers and simulators, I'm in training for the third (driving security instructor stuff), married the most beautiful woman on the planet and my 2 year old son turns out to be a great guy, we're moving houses again, I'm driving a real Porsche and I've built a few more great slotcars.

Next year the family called concept racing, will meet at the ring for the 24 hours, and hopefully I'll get to drive to the kart meet at Jason's once more to win more drinking games ;-)

S3 will get my wheel out of the shelf once again, and I really really do hope troy, adam, lars, reintjan, tony and all the guys will get together and drive and drink and have a ball until 3 in the morning again!

With a monostable multivibrator (and a potentiometer) that gives out 1-2ms of impulse in a period of about 10-20ms you should be able to get a servo moving. The length of the pulse is what matters.
So in essence, simply build a pulse width modulation circuit, glue it between your pc and the needles on your fiat 600 (which looks so fantastic I have to say) and it should work.
